14. When Raghu meets Appu

Raghav's POV

Opening my phone I read the message from Mr. Jadeja to take Princess from the given address as Ramu Kaka was busy with other work. Fortunately I was in the same area so it didn't take me long to reach the restaurant.

My brows raised as I stared at the place, it was a lavish restaurant definitely made for rich people. Poor or middle class people won't even consider coming to this place. The more expensive the food the less tastier it gets, that was my experience. That's why I preferred small hotels over these 5 star ones. But. . .

What was Princess doing here?

I walked inside the restaurant after getting my ID card checked. The security gave me permission to enter. I almost scoffed at the poor security over here. What's the use of this lavish restaurant if you can't afford RRR security?

Stop it, Raghav. You're not a businessman right now. You're bodyguard, focus on your duty.

My eyes took in the surroundings to find her. And like a magnet it instantly stopped at her. There she was. My Princess.

In that green dress she looked like a diva. Is there anything in this world that can look bad on her? The answer is NO. Even if she wears the ugliest dress in the world she would make it look good. I couldn't stop myself from thinking how she would look in nothing.

Clearing my throat I threw away those thoughts and stared at her from a distance, as my mind cleared up I noticed the person sitting beside her. A man sitting beside her.

My nostrils flared as I took in the scene in front of me. Both of them were chatting with big smiles plastered over their faces, like they were meeting after years and had numerous stories to discuss.

As I took in the appearance of that guy my jaw clenched tighter. I tried to find any visible flaw from here but unfortunately there was not even one that could catch my eyes. He has the perfect body along with great dressing sense, he looked cuter just like the type of guys she preferred. On top of it he had dimples too.

Fuck, this bastard is trying to steal my princess.

But that's the problem. She's not mine to begin with. Even the thought of her not being mine torned my heart, it was cruel reality and the faster I accepted it the better it would be for me.

Sensing my stare she turned towards me, it took a few seconds for her to believe that I was here. As soon as she realised that it was not a delusion, those dark orbs enlarged.

She got up from her place and the guy sitting beside her flinched at her sudden movement. I stood with my hands joined together and kept looking at the surroundings, avoiding her eyes.

She tried to come towards me but that man grabbed her arm. I took a step to stop him but Jaanki did that herself, she gave him a smile and said something which made him smile on return.

I hated it. I hated that she was smiling at him. I hated that she was talking with him. I hated that he was standing that close to her. And hated myself more than anyone. Even with the power I had I couldn't do anything.

Finally after what seemed like eternity but was only 2 minutes she came towards me.

" Why did you come? " She asked. " I mean where is Ramu kaka?"

" He had some work," I replied shortly, trying my best to not stare at her face.

God, she looks like a princess.

And for the first time I found something more attractive than her nose ring, her hair. Those long wavy hair were pulled in a beautiful braid which was decorated with small clips. She looked like Rapunzel. But another thought came and it started hurting my heart.

She's dressed up for her date.

" Jaanu!" I couldn't stop my hands from curling into fist. How dare he call her by that nickname! " You forgot this. "

He gave her a big bag and again showed his dimple. I wanted to punch him straight on that dimple, his eyes turned towards me and he blinked.

" Your bodyguard?" He asked Jaanki, who gave me a long glance before nodding. " I'm Aparajit Deora, the owner of this restaurant and her future fiance. "

He just did not say that. I stepped closer to him and grabbed his hand to shake.

" Fuck!" He winced and tried to pull away but I squeezed it tighter.

" Raghav, her bodyguard " and her future husband.

" I know you're a bodyguard, you don't have to prove it," he rubbed his hand which was red by now. " Ok Jaanu, we'll meet soon. Bye. "

" Bye," she waved with a small smile and watched him go away before turning towards me. " Let's go. "

With that she started walking ahead more like running away. It was funny how one moment I was angry and seeing her running like a little rabbit made all my anger meltdown. She's cute if she's thinking that I'll let her go like that. I'm not angry at her but she does deserve a little punishment.

Placing my hands inside the pockets I took slow steps while enjoying the back view of her, her long hair covered in braid, my pants tightened as the image of them wrapped in my fist flashed through my eyes.

By the time I reached the car she was sitting in the front seat and doing the act of working on her phone. Shaking my head I leaned against the pillar and took out a cigarette from my pocket and waited for her to notice me.

Just like I thought the moment her dark eyes dropped on my cigarette without a second thought she opened the door and marched towards me.

" How many times do I have to tell you? You can't smoke!" She started scolding me. I tilted my head and watched her face turning red. She took the stick from my hand and hissed in pain. " See you hurt me again. "

My drama queen.

I grabbed her hand and kissed it. " The cigarette wasn't lit, Princess. "

And with that she turned into a real tomato, scoffing at me she tried to walk away. Like, I would let her go that easily. With one pull she was pressed against the pillar while I hovered over her. She looked even smaller and adorable if it was possible.

" What are you doing?" She pushed me away weakly.

I couldn't help but think- is she the same woman who pushed me to the ground last night? I know if she really wants to push me away, then she would.

" What are you doing, Princess?" I tried my best to sound angry and hurt. The swallow down the throat was the only answer I got. " You went on a date. With another man. Are you trying to move on from me?"

" No," she replied as soon as those words left my mouth. " I wanted to tell you in the morning but. . . You weren't there. "

The way she said those words I felt like a bastard for teasing her, her voice was so fucking small and gentle. I wanted my fierce and scary princess back.

Kissing her on the nose I whispered against her cheek," Do you have any idea how I felt when I saw you with that bastard?"

" Appu is not a bastard," she said loudly.

" Who is Appu?" I narrowed my eyes.

" Appu. Aparajit. You're so stupid Raghav," she gave a small slap on my head.

Did she just call me stupid?

Me?!

The owner of the second best security and tech company. She called Raghav Raghuvanshi stupid. I smirked as I watched her glaring at me, only my princess can do that.

" Appu, so you got on nickname basis on just one meet?"

" No. We have known each other for years. We studied in the Gurukul together," she explained.

Gurukul of Satviki. The same school where Omkaar studied, that means they all went to the same school. It made jealous, they got to spend more time with her than I did. They got to see her for years, watch her smile, laugh and God knows what other things.

"Do you want to eat this?" Her muffled voice came as I drove towards the palace. I smiled as I watched her mouth filled with cookies. Shaking my head I moved my eyes back to the road. " Appu really has the best in his restaurant. "

Appu! My jaw clenched as she again mentioned that bastard with dimples. Why does she have to call him by nickname? She can just call him Aparajit or better just Mr. Deora.

"Raghav?" I hummed in reply. " Are you jealous of Appu?"

Again that Appu! I hate Appu! I'm going to kill that Appu! Appu, you better find a secret hiding place.

" Oh my god, you're!" She started laughing at me, I glared at her but it didn't work on her, of course she's the only person immune to my grey glare. " I mean it's pretty natural for a man to be jealous , especially if the girl you like goes on a date with a man more handsome than you. "

The car stopped with a screech and another screech came from beside me. I ignored both of them and turned towards her while removing my seatbelt. She didn't just say that. That's the most offensive thing ever.

" You think he's more handsome than me?"

I know when to appreciate good-looks and I'm not going to deny that he was a handsome man. He had good height and body with those adorable dimples but still he didn't come anywhere closer to me. I'm way better looking than him and if I wasn't, she can't just say it on my face.

" He's cute. But more than looks, his personality was attractive," she turned towards me and narrowed her eyes. " Unlike some people I know. "

My lips parted and I waited for words to come out , to prove her wrong, to say something, anything but I couldn't. Because somewhere she was right. Am I worthy of her? Does she deserve a man like me?

No. I'm a liar, a betrayer and most importantly someone who's gonna break her heart.

" I mean it's not a bad idea right? Marrying Appu won't be that bad—" before she could complete I wrapped a hand around her waist and while lifting her swiftly I placed her on my lap. By the moment I was fine she was staring at me with wide eyes and mouth, agaped in shock. " Y-you. . . What was that?"

" Don't. Even. Think. About it," I grabbed her jaw to meet my eyes with hers. " Just because I'm behaving like a nice guy doesn't mean I'm one, Jaanki. Definitely not when it comes to you. I think I've not made myself clear- The moment my eyes met yours I became yours and now you can't fix this heart back. So get ready to handle this beast, Princess. "

Her softened eyes at my mini confession. Fuck, this isn't the right time for this. This is too early. Great way to ruin everything, Raghav.

She leaned closer and placed a soft kiss on my cheek," I'll take good care of your heart, Mr. beast. "

And once again this Princess has no idea what her words do to me. She was not just consoling me, she was giving me hopes, she was making me fall deeper for her so deep that I could never come back.

Before I could stop myself from falling I felt soft lips on mine. It took me few seconds to realise what was happening and when I did without wasting any further time my hand went into her beautiful hair as I started devouring her sweet mouth.

My arms circled around her waist through the soft fabric and I groaned as she shifted in my lap.

My tongue sliced over her bottom lip before tasting her mouth. She fought against me for dominance and I would have given in another situation but not today, not after she ignited the wolf himself.

" Raghav!" She whispered shakily as I sucked over her neck which she'll have to hide again.

" No more dates from now, Princess," I rasped out. I couldn't take her going on with other men. " The only date you'll go from now will be with me. "

She pulled away and my pants tightened at the sight of red and wet lips covered in both of our passions. And I hissed in pain as she bit the bottom lip between her teeth.

" What happened?" She asked innocently.

" Don't do that," I pulled out the lip with my thumb and rubbed it over the swollen skin. " If you want I can bite it for you. "

I watched as the pink hue appeared on her face and she tried to pull away. I tightened my arm and hugged her till I was content. She didn't push me away which made me want to keep her in my arms forever.

Jaanki's POV

" You won't believe who I went on a date with?"

It was midnight and I was giving the report of my date to my best friend. My eyes fell on my baby boy who was soundlessly sleeping after giving a tough time to his mom.

" Who?"

" Appu!"

" Who is Appu?"

I resisted the urge to jump out of the phone and give her a tight slap. " Appu as in Aparajit Deora, from our school. Remember?" When she didn't reply I continued. " The topper of our school. The guy with two dimples. The one who threw the entire dustbin on your head. "

"Okay okay, I remember him," she finally said. " And I was the topper of the class; he only topped once or twice. But why did uncle send you on a date with him? From what I have heard, nobody wants their daughter to get married into that family. And Aparajit also doesn't have that great reputation, that guy is basically a Playboy. "

I nodded in agreement. His father was a corrupt officer that's why his mother left him and took Aparajit with her. It is harsh but the reality is that the entire society judges him by his father's work. No one sees the work he is doing, he's the youngest millionaire in town but nobody cares about that.

" I don't understand why your father wants you to marry him," she said again. " Anyways, tell me how it ended. You said no right?"

" I tried," I hesitantly said. " His mom is forcing him alot for marriage so he couldn't reject me so I told him that I'll talk with Baba. "

"Actually I wanted to tell you something. " I knew that tone. I sat straight on my bed and waited for the gossip to start. " It's about your father. "

"My baba?"

"Yes, so listen carefully. You know that my Bua get's really awkward when there is any mention of your father right? So there is a small story behind that," she said.

" What story?"

It was no secret to me that her Bua couldn't speak against my father but the only guesses I had were either she respected him a lot or she was scared of him. But it was never fully confirmed what the truth was. Honestly it wasn't a big topic so I never even asked my father about it.

" After your mom passed away my dad sent Bua's proposal to your father," she finally said. " But unfortunately or should I say fortunately your father rejected it. "

That was new information. Just thinking about her aunty as my step-mother brought a shiver down my spine. It was fortunate that my baba rejected her otherwise I would be suffering more than Shravani.

" And there is more," I focused back to her. " It wasn't the only proposal your father got. There were many more, just guess the amount of proposals?"

" 5?" I took the random number.

" No. "

" 10?"

" No. "

" 20?"

" NO!"

" 25?!"

" NOOOO!!"

" SS, you're lying now. There is no way a single father can get more than 25 marriage proposals. Whoever told you this is definitely faking it."

By looking at his young photos I could proudly say that he was the most handsome man of that time but still getting 25 marriage proposals is a big thing and while having a child from another woman. I can't believe that.

" No, not 25," I sighed in relief. " Your father got 50 marriage proposals. "

"What?!! " I screamed and placed a hand to muffle it when I felt Guddu moving slightly. " What the heck?! Don't you dare spread those kinds of rumours about my father!"

" JJ, it's not a rumour, it's true. My Dad told me and even mom agreed, you know my mom never lies," she said. " After your birth it was difficult for your father to handle both business and you so almost everyone was telling him to get married again and they all brought marriage proposals for him. And just any proposals but from many reputed families. I still can't believe your father rejected them all. Like all the 50 women without even looking at them. "

My heart tightened as I gathered the new information. I knew that my Baba was awesome but this was something else. He was young, rich and helpless, of course he needed someone to help him but still he refused to marry again. For my Ma.

" I can't believe how he handled all those people and their rubbish talks," her voice broke my thought. " JJ, you're his answer to the entire world. You're proof that a father can also raise his daughter alone if he wants to. "

My head fell back on the pillow as I sighed heavily. I'm his pride but I'm also the one who's breaking his trust. What will happen once he finds out about Raghav and me?

But one thing is for sure, my Baba is the best. And I really need to do something special for him.
