11. When Wolf meets Lion

Raghav's POV

Her soft lips. Those small hands against my chest. Her body was melting against mine. And that nose ring.

The feeling of her nose ring increased the intensity of the kiss by a hundred times. The coldness of that tiny piece of jewellery made me lose all my control. It didn't take me more than a second to know that it was her first kiss, I wanted to go soft on her, I really did but that tiny sound made me lose all my control.

I looked sideways and stared at her face as she slept against the window, her face was away from me and I hated that. Not being able to watch her was like the worst punishment.

Softly I pulled her chin and moved her head towards me, she whined a little but thankfully didn't wake up. Few strands came over her face and I couldn't stop my fingers from pushing them away. Curling my fingers I placed my focus back on the road.

The large gates opened as we reached the palace, after parking the car I opened the door and made my way towards her side. Bending on my knees I placed a strand, she looked utterly peaceful while sleeping. After all the fun that she did today she must be tired as hell. Not having the heart to wake up, I decided to carry her myself.

Placing one hand behind her back and one under her knees I pulled her into my chest, with a soft kick I closed the door and started walking ahead. She snuggled closer into my chest and through the thin shirt I could feel her hot breath over my collarbone. Raising her comfortably in my arm I thought she would face away but it was the wrong move. With this position her breath fell directly on the most sensitive part of my neck.

"Mhm," she moaned against my neck and that small sound gave a shiver down my spine. Her arms slowly came around my neck , I cursed under my breath for losing my control so easily.

This has never happened to me before, this woman is a witch. Again the touch of her lips against my lips reminded me about the kiss, it made me think of a variety of things that I want to do with those lips.

Control, Raghav. It's too early for that.

The one minute felt like an eternity as I reached her room and placed her on the bed softly, she immediately snuggled into her pillow. I smiled while caressing her hair, she was adorable just like her baby boy.

My eyes narrowed on her nose ring, I remember her mentioning that it irritates her while sleeping. Gently I took out the small ring from her nose and sighed in happiness when she didn't wake up. Keeping it inside my pocket I made my way outside the room.

" What are you doing here?"

I stopped while closing the door at the voice and squeezed my eyes shut. I was hoping that I wouldn't get caught but. . .

" I was just checking on her," I turned towards Mr. Jadeja, his eyes filled with suspicion.

He nodded before opening the door," wait here. "

Like the obedient bodyguard I was, I placed one hand on another and waited for him. Mr. Jadeja tucked the blanket properly on Princess and kissed her forehead, he said something to her which I couldn't hear but in response a smile came on both of their faces. Giving her a final kiss he moved towards me.

" Did she bother you?" He asked as we walked through the corridor to God knows where. " It must have been tough to handle both Jaanki and Shravani. "

And another bomb dropped on me. Mr Jadeja is unaware of the fact that Jaanki was alone with me for the whole day. What am I supposed to say now? It would be better if I went with the truth but that would lead Princess into trouble as she'll definitely take the route of lie.

" It was fine," I went with the truth, just didn't mention the fine part. The drive was fine, lunch was fine, the ocean was fine. But were we fine?

Definitely a big NO.

Mr. Jadeja stopped at the balcony and sat on his chair. " Please sit, Raghav. " I was too tired and exhausted for any late night talks but he didn't give me any option. " So, do you have any girlfriend?"

His question caught me off guard, I blinked my eyes before asking for confirmation, he nodded his head and waited for my answer. I shook my head and his eyes rounded up.

" Why? You're such a good looking young man. How do you not have a girlfriend?"

" I never had time for a relationship. I was waiting to settle down," and wait for my revenge to get over. " Before I get into any relationship. "

It was partially true, there were times when I thought about getting into a relationship but the thoughts of those murderers turned me into a monster. I'm not in my senses when I think about them and I don't want anyone to suffer because of it.

" I was just like you ," his voice made me turn to the right. I found him staring at the moon. " I always wanted to become rich and establish my business before entering into any relationship but she ruined my plans. "

The never before seen smile appeared on his face as he talked about 'she' who I think is Jaanki's mother. He kept looking at the moon as he spoke.

" When you fall in love no time is right or wrong. Love has the power to make everything perfect," he continued." Those few years were the best I ever got to experience. And I wish every single day that Jaanki gets to experience that love. . . For a long time, unlike me. "

" Don't worry, she'll also find someone like you. " I assured half-heartedly.

Because I'm far from Mr. Jadeja, the way Jaanki talks about her father I know I can never come close to him. So, I think I'll be happy if she gets what she deserves. Someone who loves her with every part of his body and gives her every happiness in the world.

Even if it isn't me. I'll be happy.

It was a lie. I would never be happy. Even the thought of her being with anyone else made my blood boil. I would kill the person who lifts his eyes on her.

" I hope she doesn't," he broke my angry thoughts. " Because I'm not as perfect as you think. When I was your age, I was. . . I don't even want to describe myself. I was toxic and what do they call it. . . Red flag guy, that red flag. I was just like that. She was the only one who could handle me, I mean I'm glad that I got her in my life. But with Jaanki," he paused before looking at me. " I don't want her to end up with a person like me. I want a perfect guy for her, the one who never hurts her or makes her cry. "

The only thought that came into my mind was - I want to be that guy.

But who am I kidding, I am going to hurt her not physically but in other ways , she'll definitely get hurt once she finds out the truth.

" Both of you seem to have fondness for the moon I guess," I tried to change the subject.

He chuckled before speaking," When Jaanu was little she would continuously ask me where her Mama was. I didn't have the heart to tell the harsh reality to my princess so I made up a story. I told her that her Mama went to the moon for some secret mission and she'll stay there for sometime. And she'll be looking at Jaanu with her gadgets so she has to be happy for her mama. I know it was a cheap move but. . . That was the only thing that came to mind. "

" Since that day she insisted that we would talk to her mama everyday. So we'll sit here and talk for hours until she falls asleep. It went on for years until she realised that it was all a lie and that day she took the whole palace on her head," he hissed.

I smiled as I could imagine Little Princess getting angry and shouting at her father. She must be looking so adorable.

" You stayed alone for years. Raising Princess Jaanki all by yourself. How did you do that? Why did you not marry anyone else?" I couldn't help but ask the question that was bothering me since I got to know about him.

" That's the misconception everyone has. I was alone before her, for many years but since the moment she arrived into my life everything changed. And since then I've never been alone. Even after she was gone she gave me - My Jaanu," his voice started breaking as he stared at the moon.

" You should have given a second chance to someone else," I suggested the thing that he must have heard hundreds of times.

"When I filled the vermillion in her head during the wedding, I promised that she'll always remain my first and last love. Even death won't do us apart. " His eyes met mine as he spoke those words. " Sometimes people can't fill the void that those memories can. "

I wanted to argue with him over this topic but the time wasn't right for it. The love that Mr. Jadeja had for his wife was one of a kind. As a man I wanted to support him because just the thought of being with someone other than Jaanki made me dizzy.

But when I thought about Jaanki it made me feel wrong. She deserves the love of mother. Mr. Jadeja is a great father but what if he couldn't fulfil the duty of father, he must have been a busy man. Jaanki must have been alone at times, needing the love of mother.

" Ah, it's past midnight. You must be tired, I'm sorry for–"

" No, please don't say sorry," I stopped him. " I'm happy that you shared this with me. It made me feel like home. "

He smiled and pulled me into a strong hug. " Always remember. You're not a stranger to me Raghav. You're a family to me, so if there is anything in your heart you can always share it with me. "

My throat clenched with emotions at his assuring words. There were many things I wanted to say but this is not the right time.

"Why were you not answering my call?"

" I was busy," I replied while removing my shoes.

" Busy with your Princess. "

"Mind your words, Laksh." My jaw tightened at the mention of her. I knew that princess was the title she publicly possessed and everyone gets to call her that but still it felt wrong.

" Why are you getting so hyper? I didn't say anything wrong. " I pinched my eyebrows and sat on the bed. " Anyways I went to meet that Lion. "

" Which Lion?"

" I mean, Omkaar Thakur, his workers call him Lion. " He explained. " But he straight away refused to meet me. That guy is so rude, Raghu. I don't want him to join us, I hate him. "

" You think I'm willingly joining him," my voice came out sharper than I intended. " We need him. He knows Ahlawat Thakur more than anyone else. If there is anyone who can bring the secrets of Thakur empire to us, it's him. We need him. "

" But he wants to meet you," Laksh said.

" Then I'll meet him," I declared. By now Omkaar Thakur's intentions were clear, he wanted to do the deal directly with me. I needed him as much as he needed him. " I'm coming right now ."

" Like right now?" His pitch high voice made me wince.

" Yes, right now," I repeated. " I'm on my bodyguard duty in the morning. So, I'm coming right now. "

"Oh okay. I'll come with you."

"No, it's fine. I want to meet him alone. "

It's time to meet the Lion.

The sound of the door opening made me smirk, I moved the chair a little to give him the signal that I'm here. Even though I think he already knows that, I tried my best to not leave any clues that I'm out of the palace and here in the penthouse of one and only, Omkaar Thakur.

It was easier to get into his house compared to leaving the palace but then again he didn't have as many enemies as Jadejas. His father was everyone's target, not him.

" So, you're finally here. Wolf. "

His deep, rough voice reached my ear and for a second I regret coming here because it won't be easy to defeat him if we got into any kind of fight.

" You called me. So, I had to come. Lion. "

It was clear from his name that he considers himself as some kind of king.

" Omkaar Ahlawat Thakur, the complicated man whom no one can understand," I spoke as I heard his footsteps coming closer. " The mission of your life is to take over Thakur Empire but it's impossible with your father's presence so you're searching for the way to eliminate him. In simple words to kill him, your own dear father."

No answer came for 5 minutes. It took me a while to gather all the information about him but in the end I got more than I ended up with. I think it'll be enough to convince me to be on my side.

The switching of the light was the answer that I got. Having enough of his silence I turned my chair slowly to reveal myself. He was excited to meet me, right?

So, let's show him who the real wolf is.

The reaction I expected from him was a little bit shocking or at least surprising but the only thing I got was disappointment. His face was stone cold with not even a trace of any emotion. His long hair was a little messy, the lack of sleep was visible in his eyes and his wrinkled t-shirt did nothing to hide his strong muscles.

What does this man eat to make this kind of muscle?

Yes, I was jealous. Very much jealous. But this is not the time to be Jealous. Right now I have the upper hand on him. Even if he tries to, he can't do anything to me.

He took slow steps towards me and the next words stopped everything.

" Rajkumar Raghav Ravindra Raghuvanshi, the mystery man of RRR security that everyone wants to know about. The mission of your life is to take revenge for your parents' death, for which my father is responsible or at least that's what you think. A man with all the power but no evidence."

Sweat beads formed on the back of my neck. I'm sure my face was pale by now, no matter how much I try to control my emotions I can't. It only took 5 minutes to turn the tables.

But that's when one thing came to my mind, he knows about me but he still hasn't informed his father, which means I have chances to convince him.

" You passed out from Gurukul of Satvikis with the lowest grade of the entire batch but you aced all the physical activities," I said, trying to change the topic to reduce the nervousness that was flowing through my body. " Beast without brain. "

Once again I got disappointed as no emotion appeared on his face, not even anger or annoyance like I expected.

" You passed out from a government college with average grades in both academic and physical activities," he retorted back. " You think that's better than mine. "

I narrowed my eyes but didn't say anything in reply because I didn't have any reply. I wasn't embarrassed of being an average student because right now that average student is one of the richest people in the country. And that's something to be proud of.

" You're very secretive about your personal life but I think you don't have any personal life to share. "

And finally his eyes twitched and my hand fisted to control the smile that was threatening. It was working, he was falling into the trap.

" I don't take personal life advice from people like you," he taunted back. "You love the attention you get don't you? That's why you keep giving hints about your identity to the media, you want them to talk about Wolf and I'm sure the moment your revenge is taken you'll show off to the whole world about yourself. "

I wanted to defend myself but then I realised that his thoughts meant nothing to me.

Omkaar came closer to the table and placed both of his hands over it and leaned forward.

" I don't need a throne or company to have the status. You became Wolf because of your company and I'm Lion because of my presence. So, don't fuck with me, Raghav because the moment I get into dirty stuff it won't end well for you. "

" You think I'm scared of you," I tilted my head in mocking." I've nothing to lose. "

And for the first time in the past 10 minutes he let out an emotion, he chuckled and looked away.

" That's because I'm being nice with you," he pulled his hair into a ponytail and wrapped the tie that was on his wrist. I narrowed my eyes at those biceps, this bastard is trying to flex in front of me. Like it'll scare me.

I'm also a martial art fighter. I might end up in hospital but I'll never let him win.

" Let's get straight to the point. "

" Yes," he nodded. " First get up from my chair. "

" What title do you hold in the company to have this chair?" I narrowed my eyes.

" This is my house, I don't need a title to sit on my chair. Sit on the couch so that we can talk comfortably. "

" Correction. Sit on the couch so that I can strangle you easily. No thanks. Sit here," I motioned towards the chair in front of me.

He glared at me with those brown eyes but I glared back with twice the intensity. I didn't lie to the princess when I said that I'm a champion in the staring contest. Robin said that with my grey eyes I can kill anyone with my glare, it was a bit hyperbole but I do have an intense glare.

With a sigh of defeat he sat on the chair, I could stop my lips from lifting a little but instantly stopped before he could notice.

100 points to Gryffindor!!!

" You go first," he said before I could speak. " What do you really want?"

Having no other option I told him the entire truth or half of the truth.

" I want to destroy the entire Thakur Empire. I want Ahlawat Thakur behind the bars. I want to end him and ruin him completely. "

My knuckles turned white as I held both the sides of the chair. Just the thought of that man made my blood boil. If it was possible I would end hik right now. But that wouldn't give me the satisfaction I need. It would last for only a few minutes. I want him to suffer for his entire life, with pain and embarrassment.

" No," Omkaar crossed his arms again, flexing those biceps. " Thakur Empire will never be destroyed. "

I rolled my eyes at this beast. Can't he just let me finish first? Laksh was right, this man is irritating.

" It won't be destroyed completely. We'll only break it till he gets into jail and you become the CEO, once you're on the throne I'll give you all my support to bring it back into its original position. "

It didn't take much effort to get the information of Omkaar's status in the company. There was literally no status that he possessed. This man brought all the important deals and tenants for the company still he didn't even possess 1% share in it. All his hard work was going in vain by none other than his own father.

" I can't trust you," he leaned back against the chair and stared at me with a bored expression.

" Do you have any other option?" I rolled my eyes.

" Bold of you to think that you're my only option," he smirked with arrogance.

My brows creased at those words," Who? If not me then who's your other option?"

" Why would I tell you that?"

" Tell me one thing clearly, are you going to help me or not?"

" You sound like a baby right now," he squinted his eyes and I decided to ignore the comment. "You're a Prince right? Why would you need help from a low class man like me?"

" I'm not a Prince. I don't have any empire, throne, crown or even people to hold that title. I'm Prince just for the name. The title means nothing to me. "

" People die for that title and the spoiled prince doesn't even care about it," he stared at me blankly. I opened my mouth to retort back but he defeated me. " How long will it take for you to defeat him?"

" I'm hoping for a year at least but I can't be fully sure. "

I'm more desperate to end this all to be honest but I couldn't say this to him.

" Why? Desperate for attention that will come after that?"

" No. " I stated while slapping the table in front of me. This man was getting on my nerves with his irritating questions. " My revenge is the only thing I want right now. I don't care what happens after that. "

"Soon it'll matter," he said with his cocky smirk. " You've already got the reason other than your revenge. I just hope it doesn't distract you. "

My brows raised in confusion , he nodded towards my wrist. Staring at the pink-brown bracelet on my wrist I cursed for not removing it.

" I don't care about your personal life, just don't mix both the things," he advised and raised his hand for me to shake. " I'm in. "

Placing my hand in his I tighten it," I'll make sure you won't regret it. "

" You better remember that otherwise," he squeezed my hand and it took every bit of muscle in my body to not let out a hiss. " It won't be good for you, Wolf. "

I smiled and nodded at him. Now I was one step closer to my revenge. Ahlawat Thakur, get ready for your downfall. Your own Lion is gonna skin you alive.
